Rajasthan, one colour at a time

Palace towns, desert light and lake-side evenings: choosing your own Rajasthan story.

Begin with the feeling

Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur and Jaisalmer each bring a different atmosphere. Choose the old-city colour of Jaipur, the fort and blue lanes of Jodhpur, the lake views of Udaipur or the sandstone landscape around Jaisalmer.

Respect the distances

The most satisfying routes make room for the drive. A two-city break can offer more enjoyment than a long list of places squeezed into a few days. Ask how much time each transfer will take before choosing your route.

Choose heritage with context

A good guide can connect the architectural detail to the story of the place. Leave room after a major visit for a meal, a craft shop or a walk that was not the day’s headline.

Leave an evening free

Sometimes the strongest memory is the light on a lakeside building or an unhurried rooftop meal. An itinerary should make space for those moments too.
